The producers of this year's Academy Awards have initiated a "You're Invited" campaign, in hopes of sparking increased fan interest and interaction. As part of that campaign, the producers have asked the mothers of Oscar nominees (or "mominees") to share memories and insight live on Twitter. The producers have also implemented other methods to foster a feel-good, fan-friendly Oscar atmosphere, so the awards should definitely be heavy on sappy nostalgia and celebrity backslapping. Yech.
