Flaxseed is one of those superfoods foods we all should eat daily, but it's not a common ingredient in many recipes. Flaxseed is an excellent source of omega acids.[1] It can simply be eaten raw (try sprinkling it on a salad for texture). Don't cook it over 180�C / 350�F, though, or the nutritional benefits will begin to degrade.
Here is a smoothie that incorporates flaxseed, a very tasty way to sneak it in every morning. For extra calories a slice of whole wheat bread with natural peanut butter is a great nutritional boost.
